This is a beautiful story Nancy. I am so proud to know you and proud of what you have accomplished in your life. The story of the two daughters with their mother on her last day was amazing. I loved the fact they were celebrating life with her, taking pictures, laughing and carrying on. That is living life to the fullest and that is what we want for all our patients. What a blessing that your patient was able to do so! Denise is right, you have a gift. I would like to say not only do you have a gift, but “You” are the gift.

Hi Denise,
I am writing to say thank you for the wonderful “In the spotlight” article on my career. It has caused many joyful tears from my family and friends. I am humbled by the responses I have received! You are a compassionate writer and I know you have found your niche. People need to hear about end of life stories. I look forward to your next OC Register article. Hopefully families will have an easier time electing hospice when they know that the team will do their best to make their love one comfortable and help them through the journey.
